Λουκάς 17:11 — 17:37

   11 Και ενώ πήγαινε προς την Ιερουσαλήμ, περνούσε διαμέσου της Σαμάρειας και της Γαλιλαίας. 12 Καθώς έμπαινε σε κάποιο χωριό, τον συνάντησαν δέκα λεπροί άντρες οι οποίοι στάθηκαν μακριά. 13 Και ύψωσαν τη φωνή τους και είπαν: «Ιησού, Δάσκαλε, ελέησέ μας!» 14 Και όταν τους είδε, τους είπε: «Πηγαίνετε και δείξτε τον εαυτό σας στους ιερείς». Κατόπιν, καθώς πήγαιναν, συνέβη ο καθαρισμός τους. 15 Ένας από αυτούς, όταν είδε ότι γιατρεύτηκε, επέστρεψε δοξάζοντας τον Θεό με δυνατή φωνή. 16 Και έπεσε με το πρόσωπο κάτω, στα πόδια του Ιησού, ευχαριστώντας τον· μάλιστα αυτός ήταν Σαμαρείτης. 17 Ο Ιησούς αποκρίθηκε και είπε: «Δεν καθαρίστηκαν οι δέκα; Πού είναι, λοιπόν, οι άλλοι εννιά; 18 Δεν βρέθηκε κανείς να επιστρέψει και να δώσει δόξα στον Θεό, παρά μόνο αυτός ο αλλοεθνής;» 19 Και του είπε: «Σήκω και πήγαινε· η πίστη σου σε έκανε καλά».

   20 Και όταν τον ρώτησαν οι Φαρισαίοι πότε έρχεται η βασιλεία του Θεού, τους απάντησε και είπε: «Η βασιλεία του Θεού δεν έρχεται με εξαιρετικά εμφανή τρόπο 21 ούτε θα πουν: “Δείτε, εδώ!” ή “Εκεί!” Διότι ορίστε! η βασιλεία του Θεού είναι ανάμεσά σας».

   22 Τότε είπε στους μαθητές: «Θα έρθουν ημέρες που θα θελήσετε να δείτε μία από τις ημέρες του Γιου του ανθρώπου αλλά δεν θα τη δείτε. 23 Και θα σας πουν: “Δείτε, εκεί!” ή “Δείτε, εδώ!” Να μην πάτε ούτε να τρέξετε πίσω τους. 24 Διότι όπως η αστραπή με τη λάμψη της λάμπει από ένα μέρος κάτω από τον ουρανό προς ένα άλλο μέρος κάτω από τον ουρανό, έτσι θα είναι ο Γιος του ανθρώπου. 25 Πρώτα, ωστόσο, πρέπει να υποστεί πολλά παθήματα και να απορριφθεί από αυτή τη γενιά. 26 Και όπως συνέβη στις ημέρες του Νώε, έτσι θα είναι και στις ημέρες του Γιου του ανθρώπου: 27 έτρωγαν, έπιναν, άντρες παντρεύονταν, γυναίκες δίνονταν σε γάμο, μέχρι την ημέρα που μπήκε ο Νώε στην κιβωτό, και ήρθε ο κατακλυσμός και τους κατέστρεψε όλους. 28 Παρόμοια, όπως συνέβη στις ημέρες του Λωτ: έτρωγαν, έπιναν, αγόραζαν, πουλούσαν, φύτευαν, έχτιζαν. 29 Αλλά την ημέρα που βγήκε ο Λωτ από τα Σόδομα, έβρεξε φωτιά και θειάφι από τον ουρανό και τους κατέστρεψε όλους. 30 Το ίδιο θα είναι την ημέρα που θα αποκαλυφτεί ο Γιος του ανθρώπου.

   31 »Εκείνη την ημέρα, αυτός που είναι στην ταράτσα, αλλά του οποίου τα κινητά αγαθά είναι στο σπίτι, ας μην κατεβεί να τα πάρει, και αυτός που είναι έξω στον αγρό, παρόμοια ας μην επιστρέψει στα πράγματα που βρίσκονται πίσω. 32 Να θυμάστε τη γυναίκα του Λωτ. 33 Όποιος επιζητήσει να διατηρήσει την ψυχή του ασφαλή θα τη χάσει, αλλά όποιος τη χάσει θα τη διατηρήσει ζωντανή. 34 Σας λέω: Εκείνη τη νύχτα δύο θα είναι σε ένα κρεβάτι· ο ένας θα παρθεί, αλλά ο άλλος θα εγκαταλειφθεί. 35 Δύο γυναίκες θα αλέθουν στον ίδιο μύλο· η μία θα παρθεί, αλλά η άλλη θα εγκαταλειφθεί». 36 —— 37 Απαντώντας, λοιπόν, του είπαν: «Πού, Κύριε;» Αυτός τους είπε: «Όπου είναι το σώμα, εκεί θα μαζευτούν και οι αετοί».

11 And while he was going to Jerusalem he was passing through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he was entering into a certain village ten leprous men met him, but they stood up afar off. 13 And they raised their voices and said: “Jesus, Instructor, have mercy on us!” 14 And when he got sight of them he said to them: “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” Then as they were going off their cleansing occurred. 15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice. 16 And he fell upon his face at [Jesus’] feet, thanking him; furthermore, he was a Samaritan. 17 In reply Jesus said: “The ten were cleansed, were they not? Where, then, are the other nine? 18 Were none found that turned back to give glory to God but this man of another nation?” 19 And he said to him: “Rise and be on your way; your faith has made you well.”

20 But on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them and said: “The kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness, 21 neither will people be saying, ‘See here!’ or, ‘There!’ For, look! the kingdom of God is in YOUR midst.”

22 Then he said to the disciples: “Days will come when YOU will desire to see one of the days of the Son of man but YOU will not see [it]. 23 And people will say to YOU, ‘See there!’ or, ‘See here!’ Do not go out or chase after [them]. 24 For even as the lightning, by its flashing, shines from one part under heaven to another part under heaven, so the Son of man will be. 25 First, however, he must undergo many sufferings and be rejected by this generation. 26 Moreover, just as it occurred in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, men were marrying, women were being given in marriage, until that day when Noah entered into the ark, and the flood arrived and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot came out of Sodom it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed.

31 “On that day let the person that is on the housetop but whose movable things are in the house not come down to pick these up, and the person out in the field, let him likewise not return to the things behind. 32 REMEMBER the wife of Lot. 33 Whoever seeks to keep his soul safe for himself will lose it, but whoever loses it will preserve it alive. 34 I tell YOU, In that night two [men] will be in one bed; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned. 35 There will be two [women] grinding at the same mill; the one will be taken along, but the other will be abandoned.” 36 —— 37 So in response they said to him: “Where, Lord?” He said to them: “Where the body is, there also the eagles will be gathered together."
