23  Διότι εγώ έλαβα από τον Κύριο αυτό το οποίο και σας παρέδωσα, ότι ο Κύριος Ιησούς τη νύχτα  κατά την οποία επρόκειτο να παραδοθεί πήρε ένα ψωμί 24  και, αφού έκανε μια ευχαριστήρια προσευχή, το έσπασε  και είπε: «Αυτό σημαίνει το σώμα  μου που είναι για χάρη σας. Εξακολουθήστε να το κάνετε αυτό σε ανάμνησή  μου». 25  Και με το ποτήρι  έκανε το ίδιο, αφού δείπνησε, λέγοντας: «Αυτό το ποτήρι σημαίνει τη νέα διαθήκη  που έχει ως βάση το αίμα  μου. Εξακολουθήστε να το κάνετε αυτό, όποτε το πίνετε, σε ανάμνησή  μου». 26  Διότι όποτε  τρώτε αυτό το ψωμί και πίνετε αυτό το ποτήρι, εξακολουθείτε να εξαγγέλλετε το θάνατο  του Κυρίου, ωσότου αυτός έρθει. 

   27  Συνεπώς, όποιος τρώει το ψωμί ή πίνει το ποτήρι του Κυρίου ανάξια θα είναι ένοχος  όσον αφορά το σώμα και το αίμα  του Κυρίου. 28  Πρώτα ας επιδοκιμάζει ο άνθρωπος τον εαυτό του ύστερα από λεπτομερή εξέταση,  και έτσι ας τρώει από το ψωμί και ας πίνει από το ποτήρι. 29  Διότι αυτός που τρώει και πίνει, τρώει και πίνει κρίση  εναντίον του εαυτού του, αν δεν διακρίνει το σώμα. 30  Να γιατί πολλοί ανάμεσά σας είναι αδύναμοι και άρρωστοι, και αρκετοί κοιμούνται  τον ύπνο του θανάτου. 31  Αν όμως είχαμε διακρίνει τι είμαστε οι ίδιοι, δεν θα κρινόμασταν.  32  Ωστόσο, όταν κρινόμαστε,  διαπαιδαγωγούμαστε από τον Ιεχωβά,  για να μην καταδικαστούμε  μαζί με τον κόσμο.  33  Συνεπώς, αδελφοί μου, όταν συγκεντρώνεστε για να το φάτε,  να περιμένετε ο ένας τον άλλον. 34  Αν πεινάει κανείς, ας τρώει στο σπίτι,  για να μη συγκεντρώνεστε για κρίση.  Τα υπόλοιπα ζητήματα, όμως, θα τα τακτοποιήσω όταν έρθω εκεί.

 12  Σχετικά δε με τα πνευματικά χαρίσματα,  αδελφοί, δεν θέλω να έχετε άγνοια. 2  Γνωρίζετε ότι, όταν ήσασταν εθνικοί,  οδηγούσασταν προς τα άφωνα  είδωλα  όπως ακριβώς συνέβαινε να οδηγείστε. 3  Γι’ αυτό, θέλω να γνωρίζετε ότι, όταν μιλάει με πνεύμα Θεού, κανείς δεν λέει: «Ο Ιησούς είναι καταραμένος!»  και κανείς δεν μπορεί να πει: «Ο Ιησούς είναι Κύριος!» παρά μόνο με άγιο πνεύμα. 

   4  Υπάρχουν ποικιλίες χαρισμάτων,  αλλά το πνεύμα είναι το ίδιο·  5  και υπάρχουν ποικιλίες διακονιών,  εντούτοις ο Κύριος είναι ο ίδιος·  6  και υπάρχουν ποικιλίες ενεργειών,  εντούτοις ο Θεός είναι ο ίδιος,  ο οποίος εκτελεί όλες τις ενέργειες σε όλους τους ανθρώπους.  7  Η φανέρωση όμως του πνεύματος δίνεται στον καθένα για ωφέλιμο σκοπό.  8  Παραδείγματος χάρη, σε έναν δίνονται μέσω του πνεύματος λόγια σοφίας,  σε άλλον λόγια γνώσης  σύμφωνα με το ίδιο πνεύμα, 9  σε άλλον πίστη  από το ίδιο πνεύμα, σε άλλον χαρίσματα θεραπειών  από αυτό το ένα πνεύμα,  10  σε κάποιον άλλον ενέργειες δυναμικών έργων,  σε άλλον προφητεία,  σε άλλον διάκριση  εμπνευσμένων λόγων,  σε άλλον διάφορες γλώσσες  και σε άλλον ερμηνεία  γλωσσών.  11  Όλες όμως αυτές τις ενέργειες τις εκτελεί το ένα και το αυτό πνεύμα,  μοιράζοντας  στον καθένα ατομικά όπως θέλει αυτό.   
 

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also handed on to YOU, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was going to be handed over took a loaf 24 and, after giving thanks, he broke it and said: “This means my body which is in YOUR behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” 25 He did likewise respecting the cup also, after he had the evening meal, saying: “This cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood. Keep doing this, as often as YOU drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as YOU eat this loaf and drink this cup, YOU keep proclaiming the death of the Lord, until he arrives.

27 Consequently whoever eats the loaf or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty respecting the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 First let a man approve himself after scrutiny, and thus let him eat of the loaf and drink of the cup. 29 For he that eats and drinks eats and drinks judgment against himself if he does not discern the body. 30 That is why many among YOU are weak and sickly, and quite a few are sleeping [in death]. 31 But if we would discern what we ourselves are, we would not be judged. 32 However, when we are judged, we are disciplined by Jehovah, that we may not become condemned with the world. 33 Consequently, my brothers, when YOU come together to eat [it], wait for one another. 34 If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, that YOU may not come together for judgment. But the remaining matters I will set in order when I get there.

12 Now concerning the spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want YOU to be ignorant. 2 YOU know that when YOU were people of the nations, YOU were being led away to those voiceless idols just as YOU happened to be led. 3 Therefore I would have YOU know that nobody when speaking by God’s spirit says: “Jesus is accursed!” and nobody can say: “Jesus is Lord!” except by holy spirit.

4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but there is the same spirit; 5 and there are varieties of ministries, and yet there is the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of operations, and yet it is the same God who performs all the operations in all persons. 7 But the manifestation of the spirit is given to each one for a beneficial purpose. 8 For example, to one there is given through the spirit speech of wisdom, to another speech of knowledge according to the same spirit, 9 to another faith by the same spirit, to another gifts of healings by that one spirit, 10 to yet another operations of powerful works, to another prophesying, to another discernment of inspired utterances, to another different tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues. 11 But all these operations the one and the same spirit performs, making a distribution to each one respectively just as it wills.
